Ticket Lead

Brief overview

The Ticket Leads manage the ticket selling system for Nowhere. They work closely with the Finance and Volunteer teams to ensure the tickets go on sale at the right time (and for the right prices) and act as a second level of support for ticketing email queries.

Timeline

  1. January: Prepare the ticketing system for that years sales
  2. February: Manage the sales when they start
  3. Mon/Tue of event week: Be available on radio to answer any urgent ticket queries from gate.
  4. Week after Nowhere: Prepare the post Nowhere report

Detailed responsibilities

Pre sales

Co-ordinate with Directors for that years ticket numbers and ticket prices. Set these up on the ticket vendor system. Work with the Comms team to ensure the sale details are published. Co-ordinate with the Low Income team to ensure the application system is working and sufficient codes have been provided.

Sales day

Final checks on the ticket system. Make sure the tickets start selling at the advertised time. Monitor emails to check for any problems.

Sales day to the start of Nowhere

Check emails regularly to help support the Ticket Team volunteers with any queries they can't handle.

Monday of Nowhere

Ensure the Gate team has a way of reaching you through the day. The amount of queries is very low - maybe 1 or 2, but being around for those makes their job a lot easier.

After Nowhere

Prepare a report for the Meta leads on how that years ticket sales went, flagging any issues that need a policy change and any suggestions to make things easier.
