Jikoshokai - an introduction
Greetings to my page lovely peebles – I'm NeKo (the Japanese word for cat) – known in the real world as Kathryn! I've been facinated by fire and spinning since I saw firepoi spun for the first time in Kyoto in April 2004 amd I first became involved in all this malarkey at De Com 2004? when I joined the lovely Mi Chelle? for some fire poi play. My toys of choice are: Fire poi, Fire Fingers, Glo Poi.

Nowhere 2005 Fire Performance
Sadly could not put on the fireperformance we had planned as fire restrictions were in place. I was joined by Swiss Chris for some firespinning and Santi and Duero duelled with fire swords made by Big Ed & Mi Chelle? before Big Ed let rip with his flamethrower!

Decom 2005
The theme for the Decom Fire Performance 2005 was 'The Fire Freaks Carnival' – lots of wonderful performances put together to create a circus of firey mahem with a finale involving jumping through a ring of fire and lovely fireworks provided by Big Ed. Big thanks to Mi Chelle? & Ed for creating the Elephants & Ring of Fire, to all the performers who got involved at the last minute and Yomi for arranging the coffin sound system.

NoWhere 2006
No Burn – Nowhere 2006 promises to be our most stylish performance yet! Again we expect fire restrictions to be in place so we are planning a very controlled performance. We hope to put on 2 choreographed shows on the Fri & Sat night. If you are UK based, spin fire / dance and are available to attend regular practices between April & June in London, then please contact me! Make-and-do!
At No Where 2005? I helped Mi Chelle? get the dome up. Along with Oscar, Peter, Maria, Kaat and the help of all the lovely unsaid others we united the CostumeExchange?, CampOasis? and DroneZoneMassage area in the Dome to create a heavenly decadent relaxing gathering spot for Nowhere.
I also helped put together the Decor at Decom 2005, with the concept for the 'red room' and decorated the 'Vertigo room'.
