Notes on Hurt & Healing
Hurt happens. Sometimes intentionally, mostly unintentionally.
I personally know of someone who was hurt by someone else during the course of the 2008 event. It seemed sad to me that the hurt was just left and there was never any attempt at healing.
I wonder if perhaps as part of a closing ceremony, maybe there could be a healing segment.
If someone knows they have hurt someone else, perhaps there can be some kind of ritual where in silence and with witnesses, that person can approach the other person and simply bow deeply in front of them in silence.
This would at least allow for an acknowledgement of the hurt. It might not solve or fix or settle anything, but at least it is allowing for the energy to move in the right direction.
