Burrow Project – Nowhere 2006


Welcome to the Burrow citizens! Feel free to explore and indulge at your pleasure.


Nowhere 2006 will witness the creation of the Burrow Project Theme Camp, a tactile, sensory experience through the overground to the underground, overt to covert, light to dark, rough to smooth; you get the idea. Encompassing different zones in the one network, the burrow allows you to find the space most suited to your mood, desires and importantlyy…height! The Burrow network is comprised of 3 geodesic domes linked by tunnels, each with a distinctly different atmospheres.

Nowhere citizens you are cordially invited to join our fledgling camp, we plan to grow and evolve into our theme and the focus this year is on establishing the camp infrastructure. Shape your experience and others directly, join us! Virgins we need your energy, veterans we need your experience. Camp infrastructure will be designed to support between 10–20 people, basic layout available below:

The burrow also offers a space for you to showcase your art project, hold an event to entertain/ amuse your fellow Nowhere citizens or simply relax and unwind in after a hard day on the plateaux. Contribute something funky, blinky, loud, fun, squidgy, edgy, pink, fluffy, whatever you desire, we are offering you an opportunity, “participation*” is the word people. There will be a basic sound system, some simple lighting and of course the ubiquitous el-wire adorning the domes, if you can advise or offer assistance on any aspect then let us know.

FOOD


The project is going to provide a kitchen and all cooking essentials.
We're going to have communal evening meals,
decent food but nowt too fancy cooked by different volunteers every night.

NIGHT CHEF MEAL INGREDIENTS
Wednesday Sam, Tessa Stir fried veg + tofu w/ Noodles Serves 2: 150g Egg Noodles, 300g Firm Tofu, 1/4 Chilli Pepper, 1 Courgette, 1/2 a Brocolli, 1 Carrot, 1 Spring Onion, 1 large or a few small mushrooms, Chilli Sause and/or Soy Sauce
Thursday Eva  Spanish Tortilla Serves 4: 6 eggs, 4 potatoes, 2 onions, olive oil*, 1 clove garlic. Accompaniments: 1 lettuce, 8 tomatoes, 1 cucumber and 1 loaf bread, oil and vinegar for dressing (*about 1/4 litre, can be reused)
Friday Bubble Boy, India Pasta Al Tonno (Tuna & Tomato) Serves 2: pasta («Penne») 400 gr., 1 can of tuna (200–300gr) – in water, not in oil, chopped/diced tomato in cans («pelatti»), 1/2 onion, Basil leaves (if available), pepper. For veggies / raw: cucumber (one piece), pepper (red & green), carrots. If budget permits, red spanish wine (which is cheaper than Coke....)
Saturday Ashley Thai Green Curry w/Rice
Sunday Joe and Hannah SPAG BOL for veggies & non veggies Serves 2: pasta (spaghetti or penne is fine) 400gr., lean mincemeat (300g? im gonna check on that), can of tomatoes, dash o' oil, 1 onion, 2 sweet (red or yellow) peppers (3 for veggies) PLUS for veggies 1 corgette (medium sized) (the red wine and basil mentioned by Bubble Boy wouldn't go amiss either)
